The weather was a little iffy as we planned this session but in the end, it cooperated and we had a beautiful day with the L family and their twin girls.

Mom and Dad, I’ll have the gallery ready this weekend.

Well, I thought I would be taking some time off for maternity leave starting this month but I have a very sad reason for taking time off. At 34 weeks, I lost my baby. We named him Matthew. I had wonderful midwives take lots of pictures and I took a few myself. I wasn’t sure about sharing something like this on my business blog but I’ve had to cancel some of my client sessions so some of you already know anyway.
Here’s just one of the pictures of his sweet little hand.

I have been meaning to post about this awesome organization that I was accepted to be a part of last year- Littlest Heroes Project. http://littlestheroesproject.org/Littlest_Heroes_Project/Home.html This organization provides photography sessions for children (and their families) that are dealing with serious illnesses.
When I arrived at their home, I was greeted with 3 bright, smiling faces. Mom was so sweet and someone that I could have sat and chatted with about all the things we found we had in common. Dad was extremely helpful and patient (not just with the girls but with me too!) despite his job as a firefighter keeping him out extremely late the previous night.
I cannot say enough about these girls! They each touched my heart and I was so impressed by the amount of love they showed each other.
Enough from me, here are a few of my favorites! Mom, there are plenty more where these came from.

This is Miss A, the girly girl. She loves all things pink, can you tell?

This is Miss M. Her mom told me that she loved babies but I didn’t realize until I met her that this girl REALLY loves babies! I heard her mom saying that she watches a show about babies and I assumed this was a cartoon of some sort. No, she watches real life stories of moms having new babies. I was floored. lol

Finally, this is Miss T. She is a completely adorable toddler, pictured here with her stuffed lobster. I got so many cute shots of her but I loved her thoughtfulness and the light hitting her hair just so here.

The twins. They are so completely different, I had such fun watching their different personalities come out.

These two also share a very special bond. Big sister was very watchful over her the entire day, so sweet.

I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely L-M family this week. These babies were SO cute and the whole family was a huge help in making this session come together.

The little guy was cracking me up! While his sister smiled through everything, he gave me the goofiest expressions.

And here is the little lady. Her grandmother calls her a rosebud and she definitely is!

I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and I will be in contact soon with your gallery.
I met with the ‘R’ family over the weekend for an urban shoot in downtown Historic Folsom. It was *very* cold and we walked around quite a bit. Thanks for being such troopers!

Last one! She was quite the little diva and so much fun to work with!

I will have your online gallery ready for you very soon!
Meet the ‘D’ Family! They were so wonderful to work with and with the exception of a little mishap involving a little something left behind by a dog, I think we had a great time. LOL

My personal favorite:

Thanks so much for a great evening at the park. I will have your finished images ready for you very soon.
